Maple Cider Twist on the Rocks

Here’s to your Thanksgiving cocktail hour!! This drink combines Grade B Maple Syrup from Grandma Z’s Maple Haus in Pittsburgh with Tennessee Cider whiskey (thank you Jack), bitters, and a little lemon zest.  Yum, yum, yum!! Cheers!…P.S. Grade B Maple Syrup is one of two grades used in the U.S., Grades A and B.  Grade A typically has a milder flavor, while Grade B is very dark in color with a rich, maple flavor.

Maple Cider Twist on the Rocks

  • 2 oz. Jack Daniels Winter Jack Tennessee Cider whiskey
  • 1/2 tsp. Grade B Maple Syrup (I use Grandma Z's Maple Haus)
  • 2 slivers lemon peel
  • 1 dash Angostura aromatic bitters
  • ice

Combine first four ingredients and stir.

Pour over ice and serve.
