This year, I threw a Minnie Mouse birthday party for the twins and it was so much fun!!! I had a wonderful time planning and the kids LOVED it, including big brother!
I ordered the girls the most lovely Minnie dresses from an Etsy shop, complete with their names embroidered in Disney font. I also ordered my son a Mickey Mouse Pirate t-shirt with his name embroidered. I even ordered myselt the most adorable Minnie Mouse apron.
As for the food, everything was Disney themed. I had a large Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Sandwich bar, with meats, cheeses, and breads cut out like Mickey Mouse with cookie cutters. I found the cookie cutters on Amazon. I also used the cookie cutters to make Mickey shaped rice crispie treats that doubled as dessert and favors for the kids. I dipped the ears and drizzled them in milk chocolate and sprinkles. I also offered Clarabelle’s fried chicken, Minnie’s bow-tie pasta salad, and Goofy’s Sangria for the adults, to name a few. You can really let yourself get carried away!!
Everything was decorated in classic Disney red, black, and yellow. From the flowers to the table clothes, paper products, and balloons, everything felt Disney.
Princess Anna even joing us from Disney World for the afternoon. She read the Frozen storybook to the children and signed books for them to take home. She sang a few songs at the little ones’ requests and graciously took pictures with them all.
My husband’s Aunt Phyllis made the most wonderful cakes, complete with the girls’ pictures and Minnie Mouse. (She makes the most fabulous cakes and even made our wedding cake almost five years ago!)
(Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for contact information for Princess Anna or inquiries about cakes from Aunt Phyllis!)
Overall, it was a wonderful kids’ party and everyone had a blast!! Here’s some more pictures from the Special Day…
