Last week, I had the privilege to attend BlogHer Food ’14 in Miami, a conference that inspired bloggers from around the country to pursue their passions and create quality content for all of you!  While there, I met some amazing bloggers, both beginners and seasoned veterans.  From The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummand, to David Lebovitz to Chef Georgio Rapicavoli, everyone was gracious and full of wonderful advice.  I also had the opportunity to meet two of the co-founders of BlogHer, Jory Des Jardins and Elisa Camahort Page, both inspiring women behind the scenes who are dedicated to helping others succeed.  One of the funniest moments of the weekend came when Chef Rapicavoli tweeted “twinsies” in response to our picture!! Hilarious!  Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I am so grateful to have been there.

(Considering that I can never have enough Pellegrino on hand for my family, I can’t wait to introduce the kids to this!)

The most seasoned veterans of the conference were Elise Bauer from Simply Recipes, offering a few hundred original recipes on her site and Jaden Hair from Steamy Kitchen, offering modern Asian recipes.   I also met the lovely bloggers of Living Happily Whole, Yummy Healthy Easy, Joyful Healthy Eats, and Brown Sugar Mama, to name a few.

For more about superfoods and what I learned at the conference, check out my recipe for Strawberry Superfood Salad with Agave Cilantro Dressing.

The conference sponsors graciously showcased and shared quality products as well.  Some of my favorite offerings were from Baileys Coffee Creamers, Brownie Brittle, Applegate, Stonyfield, Kings Hawaiian, and Kerrygold.

Mediterraneanbaby at Blogher conference-21To end the trip, BlogHer hosted a fantastic closing party at Cafeina, an open-air club/lounge/art gallery in the Wynwood Art District.  They even surprised us with flamenco dancers!  It was fabulous.

Thank you to BlogHer for an inspiring experience!  You encouraged us all to be ourselves and believe in ourselves!! And thank you to my Thea (aunt) Connie for being my wing-man on the trip!  The view from the pool says it all.
