If you’re looking for a healthy Superbowl snack, this hummus is perfect.  Why buy store-bought hummus when you can make it in five minutes and you’ll know exactly what’s in it?  My little ones love dips – – I think the whole dipping process makes them feel independent.  Whatever the reason, it’s so cute to watch.  Enjoy this dip with veggies, pita chips, or as a spread on your favorite game day sandwiches!

Auto Draft

  • 2 15.5 oz. cans chick peas
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 roasted red pepper
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Add first 5 ingredients and half of the olive oil into a food processor.

Blend, slowly adding the remaining olive oil into the processor until you reach the desired consistency.

Serve with pita wedges or veggies. It also makes a great spread for sandwiches.
